Brucke Wasser is the German translation of Bridgwater, just down the road from Burnham. It started life as Bruck, a Prussian branch line set in the early part of the last century and as such, has appeared in the Continental Modeller a few years ago.

Since then, it has had a change of ownership and time period. It is now set around the 1950/60's as an East German (DR) branch line, again set in a rural location but now a little worse for wear after WW2 and the rolling stock is an assortment of old stock able to be kept running.

On the model, most of the stock is from the East German company of "PIKO" and tries to represent a variety of stock that was to be seen in East German in that period. There is an ongoing programme to weather all the stock but you may well see some "out of the box" stock also. Trackwork is "PECO" electrofrog points and code 100 track and the layout is equiped with magnets for automatic uncoupling using Kay-dee couplers. (Still to be fitted to most stock).
